Job Description:
1. Manage the prosecution of approximately 1,000 tax cases pending in three specific Harris County district courts assigned to the Legal/Admin Assistant by the litigation attorney.
2. Monitor the service status of each defendant, and secure proper service on all defendants sufficient to obtain a valid and enforceable final judgment in the proceeding
3. Prepare all pleadings necessary to obtain a valid and enforceable final judgment in the proceedings.
4. Correspond, discuss with or meet with taxpayers and defendants as necessary to prosecute such cases and collect the delinquent taxes and fees which are the subject of the suit
5. Obtain a trial setting under the procedures established by the court.
6. Draft a final judgment for submission to the court.
7. Maintain close communication with the clerks of the courts to facilitate the setting and resolution of cases.
8. Attend virtual and in-person trial of hearings in each matter as requested by the litigation attorney.
9. Perform other duties assigned by the litigation attorney.
10. All other duties assigned.
11. Assist with the training of new litigation employees, throughout the department, to ensure the employees can carry out the job responsibilities in accordance with the practices and procedures established with the litigation attorneys.
12. Maintain close communication with all paralegals on the team and in the litigation department to ensure full cooperation and success in achieving monthly goals set by Department manager.

Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
